Catholic means universal, and in addition to being the AMI's UK rep, working with other nations is very important for the CMA.

Using our model, sister organisations are springing up globally, encouraging their Catholic military personnel to fully live their vocation too.

The Catholic Military Apostolate of the United States

​

CMA-US is a lay apostolate of Catholic service members, veterans, families, and civilian supporters. Their motto is “Pro Mater Ecclesia et Patria,” For Mother Church and Country.

​

Their mission is to promote Catholic culture within the ranks of the U.S. military and support Catholic service members in the sanctification of military life.

Apostolat Militaire International

AMI is a lay organization, made up of the delegates of 18 full members, 2 open memberships and 19 friends associated from 4 different continents.

​

The purposes of AMI, based also on its NGO status, are:

  • to promote at the national and international level the affirmation of a Christian vision of military life and of the values that characterize this vision;

  • to promote and support international understanding and cooperation, as a contribution to strengthening peace;

  • to study together, in the light of the Gospel and the teachings of the Church, the spiritual, moral and social problems peculiar to the military sphere.

The AMI reports to the Dicastry of Laity and Family Life at the Vatican.

The CMA-UK is the AMI's UK Rep.

The Catholic Military Association Canada

​

CMA-Canada is a lay apostolate of Catholic service members, veterans and their families. It intends to tie the spread military or paramilitary members and their surrounding persons, in order to reinforce the Catholic Church, the devotion of the members, to give them a spiritual and moral support in their societally different way of life, to give them spiritual training and knowledge, and to spread the catholic devotion to other.
